Mission
Codarts, University of Professional Arts Education aims to give young, talented people an art education that will help them fulfil their personal ideals. Students are offered a wide range of possibilities to develop their individual talent, aptitude and interest in such a way that a harmonious personality originates.

Vision/perspective
Codarts offers student a broad supply of higher art education that stretches from preparatory courses to post-graduate and master courses. Codarts offers a stimulating climate in which competences and creative development from the nucleus of all study programmes: artists are trained to respond to new impulses and to deal effectively with all facets of their profession.

The graduates distinguish themselves through their open, creative attitude which they enthusiastically put to use on the employment market. The aura of this complete range of available courses with a unique, widely recognized open character has - partly thanks to its elevated ambitions - a strong attraction on students far beyond the borders of the Netherlands.

Furthermore Codarts aims to provide a high-quality and durable contribution to meeting the public and professional call for professionally qualified and physically healthy dancers and musicians. It is the hogeschool's view that the arts cannot be separated from their socio-historical context; that art and society are not two distinct, mutually isolated elements. Codarts therefore concentrates on both the demand for outstanding talent in the performing arts as well as the need for first-rate teachers.
